Do you know someone you would like to help? Perhaps someone who has not asked for your help. If you give your ideas as to what is needed, you use your own judgement to measure the problem and it may or it may not be accurate. This could cost you a good friend. Do not be a person that has a solution to the problem even though you have never experienced the problem. This technique turns the problem over to accurate spiritual judgment of what will help while incorporating your love and compassion for the other person.
This technique can allow you to help without meddling.
- Select a comfortable chair, feet flat on the floor, hands relaxed in your lap, eyes closed.
- Take three deep breaths and feel yourself relaxing more and more with each breath.
- To help yourself relax physically, count back from 10 to 1. On each descending number, relax more and more.
- For mental relaxation, recall from memory a passive scene. One that gave you much pleasure.
- Several feet in front of your body and at an angle up from the level of your eyes imagine a screen much like a large TV screen.
- On the screen, visualize your friend or loved one. See your friend or loved one smiling and happy. Imagine that he or she is solving the problem with angelic help. Bless your friend or loved one and let him or her go.
- Relax in the knowledge that all is well with your friend or loved one, Reflect on your experience. Open your eyes when you are ready.
